What is the National number (BE)?

The National number or National Register number is only applicable to natural persons who are entered in the Belgian National Register. If this does not apply to you, you do not need to provide this information.

You will find the National Register number in the top left-hand corner on the back

of the Belgian identity card for Belgian citizens
of the residency card for foreign residents of Belgium

The National Register number is made up of 11 digits in the following format: xx.xx.xx-xxx.xx The first six figures correspond with the person's date of birth, in reverse order.
